SAFETY FIRST
for my family
Our Safety Motto
"I work safely for myself and my coworkers, so we can all return home safely to our loved ones."
At JGR, safety is not just a requirement
—it is a core value and a way of life. We believe in building a safety culture that is behavior-based, where both personal and collective responsibility for safety are deeply embedded across all levels of the organization. Our number one priority is to create and maintain a safe working environment for every employee, contractor, and stakeholder involved in our operations.
JGR’s management, including our senior leadership and directors, is fully committed to continual improvement in safety performance. Through a proactive and systematic approach to safety management at worksites, we have successfully maintained a track record of zero Lost Time Incidents (LTI) on our executed projects. We develop and implement sustainable safety strategies that help foster a strong and resilient safety culture across the organization.
We fully support and comply with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and actively promote safety awareness through regular group meetings, training sessions, and site engagement. JGR has taken significant steps to embed safety as an ongoing, evolving discipline—part of the organization’s DNA—through various structured programs and initiatives.
JGR – Safety Committee
At JGR, safety is a core organizational value that underpins every aspect of our operations. To reinforce our commitment to a zero-incident culture, the JGR Safety Committee was established to ensure senior management actively engages in all facets of workplace safety across our projects.
The committee is chaired by the Executive Director and comprises key members of the senior management team. This high-level participation ensures that even the most detailed safety requirements are given the attention they deserve.
The primary responsibilities of the Safety Committee include:
-
Reviewing and analyzing all near misses, incidents, and Lost Time Injuries (LTIs) occurring at any JGR project site.
-
Proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
-
Ensuring compliance with internal safety protocols and client HSE standards.
-
Promoting a safety-first culture through visible leadership and continuous improvement initiatives.
Through this structured approach, JGR reinforces its dedication to safeguarding its workforce, enhancing project execution standards, and maintaining its reputation as a trusted partner in high-risk environments.
Target ZERO Program
JGR’s "Target Zero" program is a management-driven initiative aimed at cultivating a behavior-based safety culture at every project site. The goal is to empower every individual to act as a safety leader, taking ownership and accountability not just for their own safety, but also for their peers. Inspired by the DuPont Bradley Curve, we strive to reach the ‘Interdependent’ stage of safety culture—where teams work collaboratively, challenge unsafe practices, uphold high standards, and genuinely believe that zero injuries is an achievable target..
